Ashraya Yojana Karnataka (AYK) is a free housing scheme launched by the Government of Karnataka in 2024. The aim of this Yojana is to provide affordable housing to the economically weaker sections of society. Managed by the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL), this initiative addresses the housing needs of the homeless and underprivileged in the state’s rural and urban areas.
Under the scheme, beneficiaries can apply for 1BHK and 2BHK flats, which are offered at subsidized rates or for free, depending on the applicant’s financial status. The government’s ambitious goal is to distribute 1 lakh houses, prioritizing marginalized communities such as:
